We welcome applications from musicians in the greater San Diego area with projects they’re ready to take to the next stage of production.
Written Application
Applicants will begin by completing a written application form. The application includes an overview of their background and details about their work or project. Applicants will address specific questions related to their artistic goals, their project budget and timeline, and their contribution to the local and arts communities.
Submission of recordings and prior work samples
After submitting the written application, applicants will be asked to provide samples of their prior work, as well as preliminary recordings of the proposed work. These could include audio recordings, music videos, or links to online portfolios.
Letter of Recommendation from a music industry professional
Applicants will be asked to secure a letter of recommendation from someone within the music industry. This could be a mentor, teacher, producer, or fellow musician. The recommendation letter should highlight the applicant’s dedication, creativity, and impact on the music community.
Interview
After review of their submitted materials, finalists will be asked to conduct an in-person or virtual interview.
